She is a member of the Royal Historical Society, The Historical Writers' Association, and an editor for EHFA (English Historical Fiction Authors). She is the author of historical novels and short stories set in the Anglo-Saxon period: 'To Be A Queen' (the story of Ãthelflæd, Lady of the Mercians) was Editor's Choice \u0026amp; Long-listed for Historical Novel Society Indie book of the Year 2016 and an IAN (Indepedent Author Network) Finalist in 2017. '1066 Turned Upside Down' (in collaboration with Helen Hollick \u0026amp; Joanna Courtney) was long-listed for HNS Indie Book of the Year 2017. She has written for magazines including Cumbria Magazine, This England and the National Trust Magazine.
